The objective of the game is simple: Score more goals than the opposition. Similar to football, goals are scored by putting the ball in the net.
Similar to rugby, you can use any part of your body to control the ball.
Similar to combat sports, you can stop the opposition in any way you see fit. Use your disciplines to your advantage. This is a combat sport.
There are 25 players on each team and matches are played on specially made grass pitches measuring 40m by 80m.
The teams are composed of Forwards; Midfielders; Defenders and Goalkeepers. Each with their own roles to play in both offensive and defensive phases.
The matches are 60 minutes split into quarters with an extended half time break.
At the start of each play, the ball will generally start when in the hands of the back line (similar to Quarterbacks of American Football).
The Forwards of each team will attempt to submit their respective adversaries so as to control the center of the pitch. There will be around 15 different encounters happening during this phase of play.
The encounters will be refereed by the linesmen who will keep a close eye on the combat and call it completed once a player has submitted their adversary.
Once the first phase has been completed, it's up to the ball carriers to find the gaps in the field and reach the other end. They will coordinate their teammates to secure safe passage of the ball and attempt to score.
One point is awarded for each goal, half a point is awarded to the opposing team in the event of a miss.
Once 60 minutes of play has been completed, the team with the most points is declared the winner.
